Water recovery

How can a self-service car wash save water?

The system treats process wastewater from the car wash, allowing reclaimed water to be reused for washing. According to TIXE data, average recovery is 80%; we verify the parameters for each installation.

Development work is complete. We are preparing CYCLO-BOOSTER for deployment in the near future. We tailor its connection to the water circuit to the technology and infrastructure of each car wash.

Water recovery from wastewater.

CYCLO-BOOSTER puts water back into circulation.

Water recovery and reuse are among the areas in which we develop TIXE technology. CYCLO-BOOSTER was created to treat process wastewater and prepare recovered water for further use at the car wash. The system was developed under TIXECO through collaboration between TIXE engineers and researchers from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Lublin University of Technology.

Research foundations.

From 2021–2023, Tixewash Polska and Lublin University of Technology carried out a project for water and energy recovery and savings, co-funded through an NCBR competition.

Project complete.
Next step: implementation.

We have completed work on the CYCLO-BOOSTER project. We are preparing the technology for implementation in the near future as part of a carefully planned approach to car wash water management.

Its purpose is to reduce demand for fresh water by reusing water that has already been through the washing process. We tailor its integration to each site's installation and technology.

Supporting systems

Each has
its own role.

Water recovery is part of the whole. The other solutions support the washing process, reduced utility consumption and winter operation.

DOUBLE POWERWashing process

Supports the XXL brush system. Intensive aeration increases foam volume and helps remove dirt while reducing water consumption.

TOP GUNPressure and water

Increases wash pressure while reducing water consumption. Supports effective lance performance.

MULTI-BAR DRAGONUtility consumption

A washing system designed to reduce water and energy consumption and loads on key car wash components.

IHSFloor heating

Adjusts heating operation to the floor temperature. Helps protect bays from freezing and use energy efficiently.

AQUARIUSReverse osmosis water

Recovers reject water from reverse osmosis for auxiliary car wash tasks, such as site cleaning.

FAQ

Questions about the system.

How does car wash wastewater recovery differ from recovering reverse-osmosis reject water?

CYCLO-BOOSTER treats process wastewater after washing. AQUARIUS collects reverse osmosis reject water for auxiliary uses, such as cleaning the site.

What stage is CYCLO-BOOSTER at?

Development work is complete. We are preparing CYCLO-BOOSTER for deployment in the near future. We tailor its connection to the water circuit to the technology and infrastructure of each car wash.

What should I prepare before discussing implementation?

Share the location, number of bays, car wash model and planned changes. Selection starts with an assessment of the technology and site infrastructure.
